Drink for Shiny Skin!
May 4th 2006 06:59
Fruits and vegies are always good for skin, if we bother to eat them. When you do, try to eat their skins, except pineapple skins and other yucky ones. Peels protect fruit and keep them fresh. Eating peels makes your skin sorta like a nice peel; shiny and smooth.
Here are some beauty juices for your skin's wellbeing, some of them don't taste half bad:
Skin Juice
1 carrot
1/2 beetroot & tops
2 sticks celery & tops
1/2 cucumber
2 spinach or dandelion leaves
1 grapefruit or orange
Wash, trim, chop, and process in juicer. Dilute with water or ice lemon/honey tea if you like
Strawberry Treat
500g fresh strawberries
1 orange
3 fresh mint leaves
Wash, trim, chop, and process in juicer
Add some honey if you like, it makes it more spritzy
Tomatoe Cocktail
4 apples with peel
4 tomatoes with peel
2-3 fresh basil
This juice is especially therapeutic as fresh tomatoe juice has vitamin C and cleanses the liver, this is reflected in clearer, glowing skin. Apple juice also helps utiliise nutrients in other ingredients, and basil has a cleansing effect on the skin.
Or if you can't be bothered juicing, eating more of these ingredients in general will inevitably give you healthier skin. You'll glow like a halo.
