Fragrance Review: Burberry London 2006
May 31st 2006 04:58
The newest fragrance by Burberry has me eyeing it suggestively everytime I see it. The only reason I have not purchased this little pretty is because I've long ago decided to settle for only one signature fragrance (nothing has topped Dior's Pure Poison for me so far). Friends of mine who wear this have had me sniffing at them every time they come near; I have been reduced to a dribbling hound by this beautiful number.
It's not just a pretty smell either, its packaging is a great relief from all those bottles which try too many tricks to make themselves more appealing. It's classic square theme is bold and sophisticated, with added distinction from the Burberry wrap (it's a little chilly in London). Incidentally, its little coat makes it feel gorgeous to hold and in time, will absorb the fragrance into the fabric. Too lovely.
The smell is strong, which is what I call a good perfume. What's the point of smelling like a sexpot if you can't whirl it around within a 5 meter radius? The top note consists of Honeysuckle, English Rose, and Tangerine; immediately a tangy burst of freshness greets you. The mid notes are Poeny, Jasmine, and Tahitian Tiare Flower, as the fragrance maintains its floral stance. The base note finishes with Musk, Sandalwood, and Indian Patchouli.
Burberry has launched it's London 2006 as a spring fragrance but it's delicious enough to be worn at any season. Perhaps I'll give it a go after all.

I'd suggest you buy it off strawberrynet. It's too overpriced in department stores. Even with the stocktake sales!

And since I don't have a nasal sensory device attached to this blog, listing them might give a better idea than just exclaiming "yeeeehaaa"!!!!
When you actually smell it, I actually find the top note stands out most, especially the freshness of the tangerine.
