Loreal REFINISH Micro-Dermabrasion Kit

Loreal REFINISH Microdermabrasion Kit is a home kit that promises visibly resurfaced, radiant-looking skin "in 2 steps, 2 minutes, twice a week".
It uses the same ingredient dermatologists use – aluminium oxide crystals, but not as aggressive, and at a fraction of the cost of a professional micro-dermabrasion. It’s targeted at women of all ages, of all skin types, except extremely sensitive. It also claims the following results :
• visibly reduces fine lines
• smooths skin’s micro-relief and refines skin texture
• boosts skin’s radiance immediately, evens skin tone
For a retail price of AUD$45.99 at your local pharmacy, the kit comes with 2 bottles : The Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator and the Post Treatment Optimising Moisturiser Care. The kit contains the equivalent of 30 sessions.
After thoroughly cleansing the face, you apply the exfoliator on damp skin, massaging with circular movements around the face for one minute. Follow immediately with the moisturiser, massaging into the skin until fully absorbed. The kit is recommended for use at night only as it makes the skin sensitive to the sun.
VERDICT : I was wary of this kit in the beginning. My skin is dry and becomes quite sensitive, especially in winter so I was afraid this kit will only make me break out. After washing the exfoliator from my face, I saw that the more sensitive parts of my face (t-zone) were a little pink and was certain an irritation would immediately occur. So I immediately put on the moisturiser as advised. The pinkness had disappeared but I was disappointed to see that my complexion hadn’t changed at all – there was no radiance, no smoothness and no evening of the skin tone.
Then, two minutes later, when I looked into the mirror again, I saw some dramatic results. My face was brighter and incredibly soft to touch. The fine lines were still there though but my skin looked smooth and, yes, radiant. It stayed like that for the next two days.
The instructions say you should use the kit twice a week. But after two weeks of doing that, I began to develop tiny little bumps along the side of my face – telltale signs that my skin is becoming dehydrated if I’m not careful. So I reduced the sessions to only once a week. So far, so good!

I was quite surprised that it actually worked dramatically. Usually, with many beauty products, they promise certain things and you only see slight results. But I'd be curious to know what other products you've used for your sensitive skin - which ones worked for you and which ones made you break out. Do you break out often?
