The full Top Ten list is as follows :

As far as the Simpsons go, I think Bart and Lisa should be included to - all you have to see is the outline of their hair and you just know who they are!

Patsy's beehive in Ab Fab.

What about Demi's GI Jane crew cut?

I pretty much agree with all the ones up there though.

I don't know....a lot of guys wanted a David Bowie or Rod Stewart cut back in the day and then there was alway the "looks like Sting, sings like Bing" Billy Idol look.

Yahoo Serious had a great do in Young Einstein.

But Youle Brinner takes the cake for mine.

Dusk, yeah I'm surprised The Flick wasn't in the Top 10 either. I remember a lot of my aunties in the early 80s had her hairstyle. And I agree with the Rachel cut - I had one and it was the most high maintenance hairstyle I'd ever had!

Nina, I think all the Simpsons characters deserve a place there too.

Michaelie, oh no, not Demi's GI Jane cut!

James, I used to be in-love with guys who had haircut like David Bowie's, especially in Labyrinth. Shows lack of my taste as an 8 year old, huh?
Mr Nice Guy, walk around the city and you can spot a dozen Yahoo Serious haircuts, in all shapes and colours too!

i love the way the Simpsons are taking over the world.......711 changing to Quick-E-mart was a definig moment in history for sure.......what will we think of next

Good post, can't think of too many others unless you want to count Demi in GI Jane or Matthew Broderick in Ferris Beullers day off (oh that's right he never changed it!!!!)

I think one on the worst hair cuts could be interesting too, homer, Bart, Luke Skywalker.......the Bee Gees...could be here all day

I guess Princess Dianna cant go on there as she is real.....she probably wins the prize overall, good, bad and most famous hair...

What about the big Dynasty hair. Joan Collins my goodness. Half of that shows budget must have gone on hairspray, hair brushes and hairdryers.

Love & stuff

A few random ones that spring to mind-

Yul Bryner (King and I) and Telly Savalas's (Kojak) bald heads were unforgettable.

Michael Douglas's slicked back hair in Wall Street

Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands

Christopher Walken in Batman Returns

Pam Grier's Aphro in Cleopatra Jones

David Bowie in Labyrinth

Brad Pitt in Johnny Suede

Sean Penn in fast Times at Ridgemount High

Some great choices up there Aimzster and in the comments too!

Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura springs to mind
Shirley Temple`s tight little curls were gorgeous
David Beckham (although not technically a movie star unless you count upcoming DH season) always has a few interesting styles
and Pink

Louie, Homer for US president, you think? hehehe...I know about Matthew Broderick. But good on him, he doesn't feel the pressure to conform unlike Beckham. As much as I liked Princess Di, I wasn't too overly fond of her hairstyle.

Michaelie, oh yes, of course, Trump and his famous mat!

Mrs M, you know what? I loved Joan Collins' hair then. I still love it now. Is that sad or is that sad?

Mr Nice Guy, that's the thing with fashion and hairstyles, isn't it? They keep coming back no matter how bad they are.

JohnDoe, as with the Yahoo Serious hairstyle, I've seen some Edward Scissorhands around the city as well - in pink and green *shudder*

Ash, I was wondering when someone was going to say Ace Ventura! Classic hairstyle. It's only a pity it hasn't become quite as popular among the masses...

Hi Aimzster,

I always loved the look of Meg Ryans hair, but have to say those buns really take the bagel cake *lol*

I agree with Dusk and Ash. I'm surprised that Farrah's flicks and Shirley Temple's curls weren't in that list.

But other than that, I'd probably agree with most of the list
