Shimmery Lips - Lancome Star Gloss
June 12th 2006 05:26
A good lip gloss is one that can brighten up your whole face, and finishes your look off with a touch of glamour. Having a perculiar attachment to all things shiny and glittery, I have developed a crush on Lancome's Star Gloss.
Having an intoxicating bubble-gum flavour, it gives you a wave of nostalgia to those days of stealing lollies and eating them in bed. Yummy.
Upon first appliaction, I immediately fell in love with the fine-grain glitter that gives a brilliant reflection of light. Your lips literally pop out of your face, pouty and delicious. The texture is not as thick nor sticky as the popular Lancome Juicy Tube, which tends to get dust particles and whatnot stuck at the tip as time goes on. Icky.
The Star Gloss glides smoothly along your lips on a fine brush which can be applied with precision even by the most clumsy hands. My favourite shade so far is Sugar Babe. The deep pink imitates the lips' natural shade, effectively adding to the rouge of your lips instead of forcing on a completely different colour. The clear gloss (pictured on top) is also marvelous; ideal to use on top of lipstick for a finishing touch with impact.
Surfing the Lancome webiste, I am delighted find there is even a little video which shows you how to smack this baby on your lips. A particularly useful tip is to precisely outline the "V" shape on top of your lips to give it a clear definition. It does wonders for the shape of your mouth.
Say "AH".....
