The most enjoyable activity with a new boyfriend is designing his new hairstyle. A friend of mine has recently fallen head over heels in love, it was not 2 minutes after the romantic swooning (and forceful eyebrow plucking) ended before she embarked on a quest to give him a hair makeover. Having been within the vincity of her feverish research, a few interesting specimens were thrown my way. Those boys sure know how to wear hair:

For a model, this dude is a little common looking, but boy, what hair. Many boys try to do this style, but this is one of the nicest ones I've seen. It's brilliantly textured and highlights the face's angles. For such length, some fantastic hair gel is definitely needed.

Spikey Haired Brother of Friend

The way my friend's brother keeps his hair so diligently erect constantly puzzles me. Although he does tend to fiddle with his mane more often than most people. But such achievement must be showered with kudos! Very stylish.

Quirky Mop Head

The way this guy gets away with this side-swept mop is impressive indeed. It renders mop bearer incredibly chic with a touch of good-natured humour. However one must carry this style off with confidence and a straight posture; a hunched-over mop head would emit vibes of alcoholism.

Proud Rooster at Cafe

This is a punk mohawk gone metro. Coupled with a complacent expression, this outrageous do seems almost ordinary. Such a tousled stir-fry of a mane turns heads in public, but surprisingly settles in to complement facial structures extraordinarily well.

Owen Wilson on Hair Webiste

Surfing hair sites brought me to this lovely man-do on Owen Wilson. I love the way the curls falls around the face. This is especially flattering for those who has a wider jawline than desired. It slims your face down while bringing out features at the centre, at the same time giving off a playful expression.

I suppose it's appropriate to ask the actual boyfriend for his opinion, but that can be left 'til after the locks are in place.....

Im male, 17 and personally i like girls playing with my hair as i like those simple signs of affection plus ilike playing with girls hair so i can't really be a hyppocrite can i so yeah i think women should like playing with men's hair and vice versa, its fun hence why people style their hair...

And .. just for added point of notice below is a link to a picture of me with my hair done in a spikey/messed up effect and personally my hair is more sculptured than most of the above but yeah you can decide. Oh and if the author so wishes to use my picture as an example in the article or for future articles i hereby allow it though as long as my name Aaron and the fact that im not overly vain i just take care of my body eat helathily etc. so i don't see why that shouldnt extend to my hair style.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that guy Aarons hair its so good> if i saw him walking down the street id prob stop him and ask if i could play with it... lol =] or just make an incredibly loud remark about how good it is. i think a girl playing with a guys hair is just a sign of affection and just lets them know without saying that you really like their hair.. its an admiration thing not an annoying thing.

I personally think men with fat faces should go for a longer style that messes up at the sides and a little on top, use a bit of gel/wax/hair putty to mess the hair up a bit, it gives the hair a wider look and balances out the shape of your head, if you have a large forhead cover it up with a swept to one side fringe. Similar to how Aaron (above) has his but not as spikey at the sides or on top, a little less spikey so that it covers the head more and gives the top of the head more definition, from short it may take at least a year to grow your hair to this length (I'm growing mine at the moment) but it'll be worth it when it gets to the end, I always figured my hair was unmanageable as it's horribly curly and thin, but guys, don;t be afraid of straighteners/styling products. Hope this helps.

you ladies are crazy dont mess with the mans eye brows unless he has a uni brow cause thats ugly and personally i think that hair sucks unless your a girl cause i cant find a hairstyle that matches my face and its a perfect face not to long not to short or not fat. So please give my some hairstyle feed back.

Chyeahh. All of these hairstyles, I must say, are impressive. But, on the unfortunate side, not all of us are fortunate enough to know exactly how to style hair.

I do, it's just lots of others that don't.

For mister 'pudgy face' [no offense, I don't likee the word fat] I suggest what the other said. Longer on the sides, spiked top. Very slimming for the face, just make sure you don't go over the top with the gel.
A dab here and there.

And no, we are not vane. We simply take joy in the fact that we like to style hair, rather than look kind of...err...scuzzy? Yeah. We take pride in our looks, because honestly, I wouldn't date a guy that smelled and looked like a pile of trash no matter how charming he is. It just isn't gonna happen.

PS: No one has the perfect face, darling. And ew to the pube comment. TMI, muchh?

Your text goes hereer hello yall!! i personally love all the short and spiky looks, but i have one problem. . .i have long hair and i dont want that to change. i'd really like to know if theres any way that i can get a punk hair style but still keep my long locks (and i by long i mean to my waist (oh and btw i'm a chick, so dont get any hippi guitar strumming male in mind. . .XD))

I was getting my hair cut and i was looking at that arons dudes hair and IT is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo Kwl.... i wish that he replied how to do it caus it would be soo kwl as well but now ive got my cut and im happy with it but it could of been kwler. I gues some people jsut cant be happy for others, and if u ask me for my opinion this looks like a perfect case of jealousy. Just cause someone looks kwl and looks after themselves doesnt mean that there vain. if you went walking down the street and found guys that look kwl, do u just assume that they are all vain or just take care. i would like to give away the secret to this aaron dudes hairstyle... Hair Straightener!! its meant to be for girls but trust me it works on boys too, and once you've straightened it (get a girl to do it for you the first time cos they're naturals at it) Then use a matt hair wax or putty i use a product called "rockstar" the red tub is best... not cheap but works awesome!

the last comment is helpful but i've needed to straiten my hair for ages (super long need it cut) and tehy are not the more easy thing to get along with, even if you have been using them for ages
