Lemon Detox Diet Review

September 28th 2009 02:11
Ok all, so I was a person who wanted to read reviews on people’s experience on the Lemon Detox Program.

Thus I thought I would give you my review for the first three days to date and complete another one at the end.

So I am a 26yr old female, starting weight at 57.2kg and 5 foot 3 inches tall.

I am currently at the heaviest weight I have been as I am a sporty person but after my wedding I relaxed and ate my way to 58 about 4kg. To some it might not sound a lot but to me it is a concern and I believe to get off the extra kilos before they start to get out of control, thus the detox was on.

Day 1

Starting weight 57.2kg

So it tells you to drink 1L of salt water first thing in the morning. I thought ok no worries…. It made me gag.

I just could not do it… I lasted about 4 slips and had enough…. Not a good start.

I made my first drink in a 600 ml bottle. I hate the cayenne pepper in it thus decide to go against it for future drinks, which for me tastes so much better.

People talk about the taste and I found it easy to drink – not a problem at all for me, but it’s not for everyone.

But again I have not made it to the letter as I took out the pepper – so might not be doing its job as effectively.

So not really a problem hunger wise until about 4pm when it kicked in. I really wanted to eat but decided nope stay strong.

The problem was that I had to work that night doing a function.

I thought I didn’t need to bring the drink I will be fine.

NOPE I wasn’t. I was starving all shift and handing out hot food killed me.

So please always bring the detox drink wherever you are I say.

Got to bed about 2am to a good sleep.

Day 2

Had to go to work at 9am the next day so not a lot of sleep I gave the salt water a go first to my surprise after leaving it in my drink bottle for the day taste was much better.

But only had a few sips as running late for work.

This day was worse than the first day hunger wise.

I woke up with a headache, but didn’t take anything and eventually went away.

Weighed myself to a loss of 1kg, happy days… this keeps me motivated to get around a 4-5kg drop. But will be happy with 3kg

Worked during the day which I ran out of my drink as I made 1.2L and drank pretty quick.

Thus hunger really got me around 3pm when I got home to the smell of fried rice… so temping but again mind over matter and I survived.

Feeling really cold today, but not sure if its detoxing or just the cold weather?

Feel asleep for half an hour but having worked till 2am and having to get up at 9am for work again prob the lack of sleep then the detox for why I am tired.

But at 9.30pm when I want to go to sleep find it really hard as I am wide awake. I don’t usually have trouble sleeping at all even with an arvo nap.

Eventually feel asleep and slept well.

Drank around 3L of the mix and only 1L of water.

Have not tried the tea yet.

Day 3

I do a boot camp class that I pay upfront for a month. Thus tough decision on if I should attend and decide that I don’t want to pay and not go.

Thus woke up at 5.30am with more ease then I usually do and head off to the session.

To my horror I have to run 6km…. let’s just say at the 3km mark my legs and body feel like a tonne of bricks – so heavy unbelievable but I make it.

Go home exhausted and can hardly lift my arms to take a shower…

But weight myself and have lost .5kg total of 1.5kg in two days.

Hoping for the 1kg again as it felt a lot harder day 2 but happy to get the results and keeps me motivated.

This morning not really hungry even after my killer run. I think the worse is over then I head into work to find a huge plate of donuts sitting there wanting me to eat them….

Smelt so good and looked even better… I’m not a huge cake person, chocolate is my downfall but I tell you what they were the best looking donuts I have seen in a long time.

But I say no and head back to my desk with my lemon drink and get to work.

10.30am the hunger starts to really kick in – have had 600ml of the lemon drink so plan to drink a lot more to stop the cravings.

Hate to give this info but lets say I did pass no.2 after 2 days – without the tea or alot of salt water but dont recommend my way if the detox is suggesting having these and the pepper.

Have a slight constant headache all morning not really bad but annoying.

Not sure if you can eat Chewing Gum but I have been eating it to get another flavor and to avoid bad breath which is one of the symptoms I read in the book you get.

So I also find it hard to concentrate at work as well.

Well it is lunchtime day 3 and the hunger isn’t too bad, my tummy is rumbling but I am not dying from hunger

But I can tell you it feels like the longest days as you are constantly counting down the days to finish it.

Mind over Matter…. I will write back when I have done the 7 days or maybe another update at day 5.

Look forward to any questions or comments.

Make up Don't Break Up

Make up or War paint
There is a lot of different beliefs regarding make-up, in my opinion less is more. When your are young mother nature has given you a beautiful wrinkle free complexion so why hide under layers of oil or water based artificial pigment. Let you natural beauty shine through remember make-up is only to improve on what was given to you at birth. I have been a fully qualified cosmetologist for about 15 years now and I have advised this to my younger clients. Teenagers through lack of confidence pile it on thinking that they will hide all their imperfections when really they had just highlighted them, you see that is what make-up is a highlighter it draws attention to the good bits. A young girl starting out a bit of lip gloss and some mascara that’s all you need. At night in your room maybe with friends practice eye shadow and blush, make sure it is a friend who will tell you the truth. I used to have make-up parties when my friends were sleeping over we had great fun, trying to improve each other or just making a monster out of each other. Give it a try girls you need to hide nothing so this is your time to shine.
Getting older it happens to us all, I am in my 30’s and noticing some new lines that were not there before. Don’t think you can fill them with make-up it does not work remember in my previous paragraph you will just highlight them. His is when you take the focus off them, pay attention to your eyes but not too heavy just define them more with eyeliner and the brow bone should be a light shade. Define your lips more with lip pencil it also stops colour bleeding. Your blush should be minimal just highlighted. When your eyebrows are perfectly tweezed, your eye shadow is applied well along with definition created with the eye pencil, your cheeks hollow highlighted with a light blush maybe some highlighter at the top of the cheek and the most perfectly defined kissable lips ever you will be giving the stars a run for their money.
Getting on a bit believe it or not you use less make-up. My most important tip is lighter shade off lipsticks is the way to go because darker shades make you look older, try it you will see for yourself. Do not fall into the trap of too much powder I call them scone ladies, you should use a base near to your skin colour, lightly defined eyes and definitely lip liner because of colour bleeding. If you follow these steps you can embrace getting older because that brings its own beauty, the kind that shines from the inside.

Hair Today Not Gone Tomorrow

Hair
It does more than keep your head warm.
Hair can show a quiet, confident, trendy etc. Person. The colours you can get nowadays are exceptional, but also remember get advice because skin tone and lifestyle plays a big part, instead of complimenting you it can go horribly wrong. Each person is a individual and therefore will suit different things. Have a good look at yourself in the mirror, notice your colour of hair especially base tones ( (the actual colour black, brown. Red, blonde) then notice the natural highlights (best seen in daylight) Hair is made from the 4 basic pigments Black, brown, red, blonde whatever pigment you have most of is your all over colour. Highlights you will notice more at the front, hair is always that bit lighter at the front because of the elements. Now that you have got that sorted out what colour should you go for.
A major change blonde – black this be a disaster if not done right. You have to use red pigment to avoid it turning green “not pretty” and the same vice versa.
Any colour can be achieved if you have got the confidence to try it and a change is as good as a holiday so go for it. Some people you have to strip the colour out of the hair completely in order to get the desired result.
Hair come under the fast growing cell category, it does not stop keeps on going as long as you do that is how when receiving chemotherapy it falls out. Chemotherapy targets fast growing cells like cancer in order to stop them and unfortunately stop the hair cells too but still a small price to pay because it usually grows back in.

Hairdreessing, Beauty & Therapy

November 29th 2008 18:17
In other words I am a Cosmetologist.

Cosmetology explained
You have you hairdresser some which are very good and unfortunately some who are very bad. Qualified hairdressers cut, perm, colour, style and are basically your confidante. Beauticians on the other hand manicure, pedicure, give facials, wax and again are your confidante.
Cosmetology incorporates the 2 but cosmetologists have to know anatomy, contra indications of certain treatments, We can do various massages and I have also been blessed with healing capabilities, the chemical reactions that happens during procedures etc and of course your confidante but anything you tell a cosmetologist is sacred we have signed the official secrets act so you will always be secure in the knowledge whatever you say will not go any further.
We are not doctors and cannot help you with medical procedures. We can advise you best course of action if it includes anything that we can do for you. It is only advice though always back it up with your doctor.
Cosmetologists want the best for you we will not sell you any lotions or potions because the human race is so diverse you are already using the right cream etc. The stuff we use can only be used by trained professionals.
We can advise on skin conditions, hair conditions, skin and hair procedures, make-up and maintenance to name but a few. You can be secure in the knowledge that you are in good hands we want the best for you and you alone. Cosmetologist’s love the human form and are always amazed at the way it can heal it’s self. You will always have a good friend someone you can talk to, confide in and lean on.
