Why Everyone Should Fast Every Once in a While

Fasting and Cleansing is important because it helps your body to release the toxins stored in your body and fat. There is a good reason for this . In this day and age, we are exposing our bodies to toxins everywhere; from the food we eat to the air we breathe to the stuff we absorb on our bodies like deodorant and perfume. The good news is that even a short term fast, like a 3 day juice fast, can help to repair the damage we do daily to our bodies.


Why You Should Fast

Digestion requires perhaps the most energy and resources which means that while we eat, our bodies can't focus on eliminating toxins in the food. Anything that the liver and kidneys can't filter out gets pumped into the bloodstream and eventually ends up in our fat. Also, digestion creates an inflammation source which means that the body has to use even more energy to deal with that as well.

When you fast, you essentially give the body an extra resource and in turn, the body does a house cleaning so to speak.. Your Immune system works better as well, cleaning up points of inflammation.

What fasting does is cut off the incessant influx of toxins allowing your body to handle toxins already in your body.... In some cases, a longer fast can actually take care of the toxins in fat stores as they are released as energy.

3 day fast or 7 day fast...which is better?


The biggest problem with fasting is that most of us don't have the time to actually do a fast The better option instead would be to take an extra day off and simply go on a 3-day juice fast. You won't see optimum results, but you will feel a difference..

The most ideal fast would be a 7 day fast but chances are time constraints and a job could hold you back. The difference between a 3 day fast and a 7 day fast all boils down to how deep your body has to go into fast stores. The fat is released into the system along with the toxins. In turn, the liver processes it and pushes it out of the body .

In summation, there is no doubt that fasting and cleansing is important for those who want to feel better and basically give their body a chance to catch up. If time is an issue for you, then a 3-day fast may be the best option. But if you really want to get the best results, a 7 day fast is typically much, much better.
